SDL Music Playlist: NZ Songs You Knew You Loved 70’s/80’s Pt1

To celebrate NZ Music Month, SDL Music has put together a, by no means definitive, playlist of the other NZ songs that we used to love listening to in the 70’s and 80’s. Many collections of NZ music curate an arguably narrow collection of music that doesn’t always reflect the depth of talent of the NZ music scene at that time.

A number of these bands were on the pub circuits of the time where they learned the trade and became experienced performers for kiwi crowds that were learning to love local music.

Many of these musicians became some of the biggest influencers of the NZ and Australian music scene and are part of the reason the NZ music industry has been able to build what we have today.
